This kimono (samué) is made of laminated fabric. Doubling involves lining up multiple wires together and treating them as if they were a single wire. All of our laminated yarns are mixed and created in-house. By taking the time to do this, the fabric gives a unique texture compared to processing a single thread, and the color change gives the samué an elegant and mature character.
